I Came Across A Number Of Budget Oriented Suggestions For A Budget Vacation Recently!
Even though the economy is bad, we still need a little vacation now and then. I’ve been doing some research into saving money while still having a nice trip. It seems that there are great travel deals to be found at many of the well-known travel sites if I spend a little time in research.
The choice of travel website should not only include finding the lowest price for car, hotel and air travel, you also want a company with a reputation for arranging a vacation without problems. I can look for the best prices on airfare and hotel rooms, but if I find a travel destination where I can drive my own car, it might save me even more. I should point out that Southern California might be a great choice.
You’ll find a bunch of information and advice related to Southern California at the SoCal Vacation Guru website. It focuses mainly on Orange County and Los Angeles County, but will eventually expand to provide more information on San Diego County and the Inland Empire desert and mountain areas as well. For local insight and wisdom about Disneyland, Universal Studios, Knott’s Berry Farm, beaches, shopping, dining and other activities, the SoCal Vacation Guru is a great source.
I mentioned above just a couple of the seven major theme parks in Southern California, the complete list being Disneyland, Disney’s California Adventure, Knott’s, Six Flags Magic Mountain, Universal Studios, SeaWorld and Legoland. If you were really energetic you could fit all of those parks into a very busy vacation, but it would not be an inexpensive trip. Also, you might save on airfare and hotel reservations as it looks like the economy has a lot of hotels really wanting our business, unfortunately.
In slow economic times the theme parks tend to offer more discounts, as to the museums and other activities. Rather than flying to your vacation destination, you may find that, even with the crazy behavior of gasoline prices recently, you can save money by driving to Southern California this year.
